Streets of Growth has launched a pioneering Culture Plan at our unique EpiCentre, which builds on Unite Students’ Community Use Plan and co-designed and delivered with young people alongside Unite Students, the Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA), the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and Historic England.
At the heart of the EpiCentre is our theatre space, positioned above the historic remains of the Boar’s Head Playhouse, a 16th-century inn-yard theatre. Here, centuries of cultural heritage meet the creativity, talent and ambition of a new generation. The EpiCentre is fast becoming a go-to destination for culture, heritage and legacy projects, as well as rehearsals, skills development, learning, community events and venue hire. It is a dynamic space where young people, creatives, charities, public services and businesses can connect, collaborate and create what comes next.
Streets of Growth CEO Diane Peters explained, “This is more than a venue. It is a bold new model for culture-led regeneration - rooted in local history, shaped with young people and built for the future. We are bringing the past to life and creating a stage for the next generation.”
