Our New Patron:
Eddie Marsan

Eddie Marsan was born and raised in The London Borough of Tower Hamlets, having left school at 15 with no academic qualifications. He served an apprenticeship as a printer before finally winning a place at drama school after many years of trying. Since then, Eddie has gone on to have an award-winning international career working with directors such as Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Michael Mann, Mike Leigh, Guy Ritchie and Sam Taylor Wood. "I owe everything to the love, support and encouragement of my community. It was a privilege to grow up in Tower Hamlets, it produced the best in me, a love of diversity, a curiosity, a determination to succeed and a self-deprecating sense of humour.

I'm honoured to be invited to be a Patron of Streets of Growth and to be given the opportunity to give something back to this wonderful borough. I'm just an actor but the Streets of Growth team actually save lives with the transformative work they do with the young people, helping to navigate difficult circumstances and fulfil their incredible potential.  I'm thrilled to be able to support them in any way I can.”
