Donations

We welcome Your donation

Did you know? Keeping Streets of Growth’s entire charity operating for one year actually costs less than sending a young offender to prison for one-year!

But even so, the hard reality is that running a successful intervention charity like ours costs money. Whether you decide to make a regular gift or a one-off donation, you can be certain that your contribution will not be swallowed up by hefty senior management salaries nor expenses.

Your donations enable and equip us to intensively work with up to 150 young adults per annum with a 7 out of 10 sustained success rates. Compare that with 36% of young inmates who go on to re-offend once released from prison (the highest rate since records began in 2002). Our small but hugely dedicated team of full-time and part-time staff also volunteer vast amounts of their free time 'often out of 9-5 hours and weekends' where interventions and support for our young clients can be nonexistent. We ensure your funds go direct to the very young clients’ point of need to ensure they escape harmful lifestyles and make a positive contribution to their local community and to the wider society.

Where your investment goes (Funding Needs):

Your relationship and invested donation really matters if we are to ensure that no young adult is left behind.

Here are just a few examples of how your contribution will help Streets of Growth’s young adults:

£50 buys two hours for an outreach street worker to re-engage at street level finding and connecting with ‘at risk’ young people

£100 buys two x two-hour intensive coaching and mentoring sessions with a young person

£250 buys a sessional Tutor e.g. Teen parent life skills and employment project

£500 buys a one-week accredited careers readiness programme, where young people achieve a BTEC Award

£1000 buys on-going project material costs for our Social Enterprise programmes

£3000 ensure one young person successfully goes through our entire programme and advances in their lifestyle, environment, education and career.

Fundraising

We are always looking for fun and innovative ways to financially support the work we do. You can help to transform the lives of young adults by getting together with family, friends or work colleagues to organise a fundraiser.

Volunteering

Do you feel inspired by what we are innovating with young adults at Streets of Growth and have skills or experience that you feel could help us?

There are a variety of different ways that you can help that don’t involve working on the frontline as an intervention worker.

For example; you may have vast experience of writing Funding Applications and Donor networking skills and networks.

With a growing number of 15-25-year olds getting stuck and needing our help, we rely on enthusiastic volunteers to support our core team in the street work and programmes we offer.
